They are definitely edgier than I have had before. I liked them alot, hopefully other people will too.

Needless to say, I will be wearing contacts to events more often, these are going to stick out like a sore thumb at events.


Oh, and funny story. Elyse got cranky during my eye exam. I picked her up, and the doctor continued the exam. She let loose filling up her diaper. It was so loud that it startled the doctor and he jumped backwards.

Despite being sleep deprived, things are going well. Daniel is being a great big brother, he stayed up  with me late last night to help me with Elyse.

She's currently on house restriction, as she has jaundice and is hooked up to a BiliBlanket. This is a far cry better than the lights they had me under when I was born for 6 days. She seems to be responding well. Although Papa has decided that BiliRubin reminds him of the Miticlorians from Star Wars, and thus we have all kinds of funny Star Wars voices going on around the house.

Daniel got another chance to hold her this morning for a while. It was nice since he really wanted to hold her last night, but she was just too cranky to make it work. We just finished giving her her first at home bath, and now she is sleeping soundly all swaddled in her bouncy seat.

This afternoon is the indoor rapier practice in Arlington, and if she's okay, I might try to buzz down there and say hi to people. I've got a while before I will be cleared to fight again, but it's been 6 months since I even touched a blade. Oh, which reminds me I need to get with Amalia and start working on my new armour. (It'll have to be made so that it can be taken in, Which means I have to change my applique design.)

I have to say I've been pleased with my healing. My tummy is going down fairly quickly, although I didn't loose much weight in the hospital. She loves to eat, and I am always hungry because of it. I just need to make sure that I still eat right while giving her everything she needs. I can't use this as an excuse to eat whatever I want. Luckily, I still am loving all the fresh fruits and veggies

At 6:38pm, weighing in at 5 pounds 11 ounces, the newest member of the Knebel household made her way into the world!  Both mother and baby are doing well.  No name yet; they are waiting to see if she fits the one they have in mind.
